Who I Am
FinCompareLab (https://www.fincomparelab.com) is an independent personal finance site run by me, Morgan Chen. This policy explains what information I collect when you visit, why, and what choices you have.
Information I Collect
If you use the contact form on this site, I collect the name, email address, subject, and message you submit. I use this only to respond to your question, correction, or feedback, and I don’t add you to any mailing list or share it with third parties.
Comments are turned off on this site, so I don’t collect comment data, commenter IP addresses, or Gravatar information.
Analytics
I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site, such as which pages are popular and how people find the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information like your approximate location, device type, browser, and the pages you visit. This data is aggregated and doesn’t identify you personally.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising
I use Google AdSense and other third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit this site. These companies may use cookies and web beacons to collect non-personally identifiable information (such as your IP address, your ISP, the browser you used to visit the site, and in some cases whether you have Flash installed) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites on the internet.

Some links on this site, including “Try [App]” buttons, are affiliate links that redirect through fincomparelab.com/go/ before reaching the app’s official site. Clicking one of these links doesn’t share any personal information with me beyond standard referral data the destination site would normally receive. Full details are in my Affiliate Disclosure.
Embedded Content
Some posts may include embedded content, such as images or videos, from other websites. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website directly, and that site may collect data about you, use cookies, or track your interaction with the embedded content.
How Long I Keep Data
Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to your message and aren’t retained indefinitely. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to Google’s own retention policies, not mine.
Your Rights
If you’ve submitted a contact form message, you can request that I delete it at any time. You can control analytics and advertising cookies through the opt-out options described above, or through your browser’s own cookie and tracking settings.
Children’s Privacy
This site is intended for a general adult audience and isn’t directed at children under 13. I don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
I may update this policy as the site or its tools change. Material changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page.
